This version is a little improved compared with old version so this review is not a surprise for us, because we know how it works old version of SUPERAntispyware. This software can be included in medium category of protection against spyware because is still a distance between this version and Spy Sweeper or StopZilla for example. You can find a free edition of SuperAntispyware available for download, but if you compare the paid version with the free version you’ll see a difference. Installation kit can be downloaded from producer site or from our website. Installation process of SuperAntispyware is fast and doesn’t put problems. The installer asks you just few things and if you have just little bit of experience with installers, this process will be a piece of cake. The menu of SUPERAntispyware 4.0 was a little improved. Is user friendly and you have all the control with links directly from first step of the menu, without bad design implementations.
SuperAntispyware was projected to keep at the distance all the spyware infiltrations and all the malware threats. This version has a lot of improvements and the producers say it can detect: spyware infiltrations, malware infections, registry infections, rootkits and dangerous activeX opened in Internet Explorer browser. Detection effectiveness of SuperAntispyware 4.0 is medium and can be improved. You can choose from 3 types of scanning: Fast Scan, Complete Scan and Custom Scan. After scanning, this software will show a list with detected problems (spyware, malware, parasites) and you are asked which the decision about found problems is. You can ignore the advertisements or you can select from the menu to delete the infected file.
The updates are performed on a regular basis and the computer is fully protected, with latest signature of the spyware in the database. Real time protection is very important so you must have the antispyware always updated with latest signatures.
Removal capability is good but you must remove manually the problem detected because SuperAntispyware it doesn’t have an automatic option to remove the spyware once detected. Anyway, the removal process is simple, fast and secure. We hope just in the future the producer will be implement automatic deletion of unwanted files, without manually removal.
SuperAntispyware is not very fast but is light resources consuming and you doesn’t must have a performance computer to run on it. The scanning speed is about 15-20 minutes for en entire hard disk. We recommend this software to medium computer users without powerful computers and medium using of Internet.
